Thank you to all the families who participated in the 10th Annual Grandparents’ Weekend, February 21-22. Over 200 USD family members experienced a fun filled family weekend at the University of San Diego. Some families kicked-off the weekend by joining a panel of students discussing their lived experiences as agents of making a change at USD. Other families joined Virginia Rodee, R.S.C.J. and ’57, ’74 on a historical tour of Founders Chapel.
The always popular culinary demonstration was provided by La Gran Terazza master chefs where families learned about the many ways Dining Services incorporates fresh and local ingredients into their offerings. Director of University Galleries and Professor of Practice Theory, Dr. Derrick Cartwright facilitated an introduction of the Hoehn Family Galleries which exhibited “Passion and Virtuosity: Hendrick Goltzius and the Art of Engraving.”
