Greek Woman of the Week!
Congratulations to all the Greek Woman of the Week!
Fall 2009 Greek Women of the Week:
| Amanda Arntz-- Gamma Phi Beta |
October 25th- 31st |
"Amanda is one of our stand out sophomores in Gamma Phi. She was our Dean’s Trophy Chair assistant last semester and got the pleasure (?) to put all the Dean’s Trophy information together this semester. What her predecessor failed to tell her is that she needed to form a committee. I found Amanda working by herself in the library on all the dean’s information. Although people would offer to stop by and help, she worked effortlessly for weeks on ensuring it was perfect. Amanda analyzed last year’s application, compared the scores from it, and fixed whatever she could. The week before it was due, she had three midterms and a paper due. I literally had to pry her away from the application one day because she would not stop working. Amanda helped us achieve our best score in the history of Gamma Phi and I could not be more proud. I know the application was due a while back, but her efforts continue. Immediately when we got the grading rubric on Monday, Amanda set out a plan to ensure a win for next semester. I think she’s crazy for starting work on it so soon after it nearly took her sanity, but appreciate it nonetheless. She is an unbelievably hard worker and I know she will be a prominent leader in the upcoming years of Gamma Phi." ~Danielle Grasso |
| Karen Roche----- Alpha Delta Pi |
October 18th-24th |
"One of our sisters was recently in the hospital for 2 weeks and Karen was there for her every step of the way. She slept on the hospital floor just so she was there if our sister needed a friend and gave the chapter constant updates on her condition. She was so strong and such a great supporter by staying positive through a tough time. I could not be any luckier to have her as one of my best friends and sister." ~Caitlin Widner
|
| Robyn Fallon---- Kappa Kappa Gamma |
October 11th-17th |
"Robyn Fallon has been working tirelessly on Dean’s Trophy for the past year. Throughout the whole stressful process, she has delegated beautifully, compiled Kappa’s successes delicately, and been extremely poised the entire time. I would absolutely love to recognize Robyn for her all of her hard work and dedication to our chapter. We would be lost without her!" ~Beverly Hutchings |
| Michelle Cunnane-- Kappa Kappa Gamma |
October 4th-10th |
"Michelle spent so much of her time planning an amazing philanthropy event. Baller’s for Children was a huge success and it would not have went as smoothly had it not been for all of the hard work Michelle put in. She is an essential addition to our chapter and I am so happy to call her my sister. " ~Beverly Hutchings |
Charlotte May--- Alpha Phi |
Sept. 27th- Oct. 3rd |
"I, Jessica Lyons, am nominating Charlotte May for Greek Woman of the Week. She has dedicated countless hours to the Greek community as a whole. This includes, but is not limited to serving as the Order of Omega President. In this position, she has been working tirelessly to plan the Awards banquet. This truly shows her panhellenic spirit. Also, she has been working many hours trying to collect donations for the Red Dress Gala. For her work, she needs recognition. On top of all this, she is a dominating math major that stays at my house past 1am doing homework! She deserves Greek Woman of the Week!!" ~Jessica Lyons |
| Emily Scheerer-- Alpha Chi Omega |
September 20th-26th |
"I am nominating Emily because she has done an amazing job as COB chair this year. She has been working very hard with Bernadine Locsin (VP Recruitment- AXO) on interviewing COBs, planning events, and representing Alpha Chi at the Alcala Bazaar. She is a great woman, who has devoted a lot of time to the fall recruitment process." ~Stephanie Atienza |
| Mackenzie Miller-- Alpha Phi |
September 13th-19th |
"I would like to nominate Mackenzie for Greek Woman of the Week, because she has completely re-energized the chapter and is so on top of her job that I can sleep at night! I don't know what I would do without her and Alpha Phi certainly wouldn't be the same!" ~Nicole Lundgren |
