Salton Sea

 
Join Outdoor Adventures through USD on a camping trip that will provide opportunities to explore the natural environment of the Salton Sea, meet with local leaders to learn about the complicated challenges of managing the lake, and discuss, engage, and reflect with each other.
 
The Salton Sea- California’s largest lake, created by accident and once a hub for recreation and wildlife. The lake is now shrinking due to evaporation and a decrease in agricultural runoff (the lake's primary water source), creating significant environmental and public health problems.
 
The price of this trip is $80 for the USD community. Space is limited. Limited financial assistance is available fur undergraduate students thanks to generous support from Associated Students.
