Black Canyon Canoeing and Hot Springs

Course Description

Take your paddling skills to another level! Develop effective paddling stokes and travel to the bottom of the Hoover Dam. During Fall holiday weekend, we will paddle 10 miles up the Colorado River, where the valley turns to canyon with towering walls and side canyons to explore. Camp out under the stars, share amazing meals and relax in natural hot springs. Return to campus with a feeling of accomplishment, a sense of adventure, rejuvenated and inspired.

This trip also provides a first-hand experience of the drought impacting California.  We will check out the low water levels on Lake Mead and gain a new awareness about the balance between consumption and conservation of our natural resources.
