The mission of the Career and Professional Development Center is to serve as a centralized resource for University of San Diego students, alumni and employers. The Center supports the University’s community, mission and goals by:

  • Promoting the professional development of students and alumni;
  • Providing personalized career counseling and services, and;
  • Building productive partnerships that create career opportunities.

At the University of San Diego, career preparation is an institutional responsibility, involving schools, faculty and departments across the University, as well as the broader, external, Torero family. The Career and Professional Development Center is the hub for connecting students’ college experiences and University-wide efforts to prepare students for successful lives after USD.

Our vision is that University of San Diego students will graduate with a clear idea of their post-graduation options; firm plans to achieve their first career and life goals; and the knowledge, skills, and experience to prepare them for long term success. Our expectation is that USD graduates will recognize the role the USD community has played in connecting them to opportunities that allow them to do what they love, capitalize on their strengths, and achieve financial independence.
