Working in the U.S.

F-1 students are allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours per week on campus while school is in session and up to 40 hours per week only during official school breaks or during a student's annual summer vacation.

J-1 students may work on campus up to 20 hours per week while school is in session and up to 40 hours per week during vacation periods.
