Welcome to the University of San Diego! Outdoor Adventures is a program within Student Affairs that serves the USD community by fostering personal growth, leadership development and skills through safe, environmentally friendly trips in a supportive community. OA is a hub for people interested in living an active, outdoor lifestyle that strives to create a balance between humanity and the natural world. OA outings inspire people to care about the environment and we want our graduates to develop into environmental stewards of our planet.
OA offers a variety of local and regional outings. Local excursions that take place during weekday evenings or on weekends allow you to discover San Diego. Overnight camping trips and outdoor recreation classes offer opportunities to experience the dramatic landscapes of the west. OA's Guide Development Program provides students with the skills and experience to lead peers on adventure trips. There is also a rental shop that provides outdoor recreation equipment and trip planning resources for individuals and groups that choose to venture out on their own excursions.
This August, Outdoor Adventures is offering four trips designed to help incoming students start school feeling more confident and prepared. In addition to our time-tested Pre-O camping trip to the Laguna Mountains, there are three new trips added to help meet the interest and needs of incoming students. While "new" to Pre-O Adventure, these trips have been some of OA's most popular outings offered throughout the year and they will maintain similar goals as the original pre-o trip. We encourage you to flip through this site to learn about all of the opportunities available. We hope the photos and videos convey how amazing and impactful this program is for USD students. From the mild to the wild, OA is as adventurous as you are!
Hope to see you soon!

"Pre-O Adventure trips are about easing your transition to USD and we believe that sharing an adventure in a natural environment can provide you with a network of friends to start your college career."
