Homecoming & Family weekend is a great opportunity for your family to join your student on campus and experience a glimpse of what life is like at the University of San Diego. 

Outdoor Adventures is excited to offer a pair of the "BEST OF SAN DIEGO" experiences. These outings are popular with both locals and visitors alike - come experience these two quintessential San Diego experiences for yourself. Many students consider these trips "USD bucket-list" activities.

Kayak the Seven Caves at La Jolla Shores

9:00am and 11:00am

Experience ocean kayaking in San Diego! Come join us on a thrilling kayak tour of the Seven Caves and La Jolla’s Underwater Park.  After a brief paddle instruction and safety talk, we will explore some of the finest scenery along the Pacific Coast where we often see spectacular marine life, such sea lions, sea birds, leopard sharks, and garibaldi fish. Our trained student guides and staff will provide you with a safe and memorable trip. No experience necessary!  This is definitely one of the top 10 outdoor activities in San Diego. Kayak and Stand-up Paddleboard on Mission Bay

9:00am, 10:30am and 12:00pm

Take a dip with your paddle and make a splash at Mission Bay, the United States’ largest aquatic park. A nice sunny day on the water is one of the best ways to fully experience San Diego! Only 10 minutes from campus, Mission Bay is a prime location for stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking. Experience first-hand the beautiful bay views, groups of basking seals, and multitudes of sea birds. Paddling on Mission Bay is the perfect location for those new to water sports and for paddlers of all ages. We provide the gear, so all you need is your adventurous spirit. Join us on the water and get up close to some wild Mission Bay residents for an experience that will highlight your weekend. $35 per person. Register here.
