Join Outdoor Adventures as we explore the historic Penasquitos Canyon Preserve! Together, we will ride the trails of San Diego's Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve. The Preserve is home to 4,000+ acres of southern California scenic landscape, including riparian stream corridors, a seasonal waterfall, flat top mesas, freshwater marshes, a live oak forest, and several sycamore groves.
We'll ride down the canyon through varying terrain and habitats that were home to the prehistoric La Jolla culture and late Northern Digueno Native Americans for over 6,000 years. We will stop by the waterfall (running seasonally) to enjoy the view and snacks.
We'll zigzag through the hills before returning to the historic Santa Maria de Los Peñasquitos Adobe, more commonly known as the "Ranch House," an early 19th century adobe home built on the first Mexican land grant in California.
Transportation and snacks are included!
