Hometown: Denver, Colorado
Major: Crime, Justice, Law & Society (sociology)
Dream Job: Part time ski bum/part time mountain adventure guide and maybe a little law practice on the side.
Favorite Outdoor Activity: Snowboarding/skiing/climbing anywhere in the glorious Colorado rockies.
Favorite National Park: Rocky Mountain NationalPpark
Favorite location in San Diego: Ocean beach
Favorite place to hang out on campus: wherever there is free food
Weirdest outdoor food you have created/ate: I ate a worm once
Craziest trip experience: watching sean almost pee his pants on the backpacking san jacinto trip
Worst injury from an outdoor trip: Got a concussion and broke my wrist from extreme tubing behind a boat one time
One place in the world: I would go to the south of france, right along the Mediterranean and climb, surf, snowboard and ski for the rest of my life.
Funniest outdoor experience: watching sean almost pee his pants on the backpacking san jacinto trip
Something that no one knows: I think tide laundry detergent is probably the best smell to ever grace my nasal cavity. If it was a cologne I would buy it just so I could smell like freshly done laundry.
Favorite piece of outdoor gear: homemade 30 inch fishtail longboard and my go lite puffy jacket.
Five things you wish you knew before freshman year:
- it’s ok to drop a class
- always try and make more friends
- it will take more than 4 years to completely explore san diego (sadly)
- move down to the beach, it’s probably the only time your life where you actually will be able to afford to live there (plus it’s pretty awesome)
- learn to cook, it’s so much cheaper and tastier
