Alumna Selected for Preceptor Award
Ms. Joyce Croke FNP, RN, is the first recipient of the NP Preceptor award. Joyce was nominated by the NP students and faculty. Dean Sally Brosz Hardin presented Ms. Croke with her award at the annual Preceptor’s Dinner on November 6.
Ms. Croke graduated from the USD SON NP program in May 1991. She maintained a 3.96 GPA throughout the program. She began precepting Nurse Practitioner student in 1994. The student comments include:
- Joyce is amazing, I have learned so much from her.
- She is supportive and very, very smart.
- Joyce would ask what we are covering in class to give me an opportunity to practice.
- Very supportive, excellent teaching skills for both students and patients.
