Bonnie Tran is an Adjunct Statistics Professor at the Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Cell Biology and Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego. She received a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University and completed her Doctor of Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego and San Diego State University.
Dr. Tran has more than 7 years of professional experience as an Epidemiologist. Dr. Tran has extensive experience in designing and implementing research studies, collecting field data, and analyzing and interpreting data using different statistical programs (SAS, SPSS, Epi Info). Her areas of interest include infectious diseases and occupational health.
Dr. Tran is currently a Research Epidemiologist at the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA. Her primary focus is helping militaries understand their HIV/AIDS epidemic and developing prevention measures to prevent new HIV infections among military personnel.
