Active duty enlisted personnel seeking their commission are an integral part of NROTC San Diego. They fully integrate into the battalion and serve in vital leadership roles and as mentors to our midshipmen.

Seaman to Admiral 21 (STA-21) Officer Candidates and Marines participating in the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) help to create a unique environment for shaping our Navy and Marine Corps' future officers. San Diego NROTC is the ideal location for MECEP and STA-21 students. It is in close proximity to naval facilities in San Diego, has five participating universities, and with 45 Battalion members participating in either MECEP or the STA 21 Officer Candidate Program provides a great deal of camaraderie.

For those individuals who have been accepted or are applying to the STA-21 or MECEP program, please feel free to contact us at for pertinent information.
