  • LT Kelly Wehle having lived in numerous residences through her childhood, claims Bardstown, Kentucky as her hometown. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and received her second Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009. She was picked up for Officer Candidate School in 2010 and was later commissioned in July.
  • LT Wehle pinned on her wings in January 2013 as the first CAT 1 P-8A NFO. Her sea-duty was at Patrol Squadron SIXTEEN as they took the P-8A on its maiden deployment to SEVENTH Fleet. She was involved in the search efforts for Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 and served as a liaison officer for multiple exercises including the USS Theodore Roosevelt’s (CVN-71) Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) and USS Ronald Reagan’s (CVN-76) Annual Exercise with the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF).
  • LT Wehle is currently assigned to NROTC Unit San Diego as the Naval Officer Instructor at San Diego State University. Her personal awards include Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
