CAPTAIN MARK S. WOOLLEY
UNITED STATES NAVY
Captain Woolley currently serves as the Commanding Officer, Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC), San Diego.
Captain Woolley graduated from Villanova University in 1980 and was commissioned through the NROTC Program. His sea duty assignments include: Navigator, USS OUELLET (FF 1077); Operations Officer, USS DOYLE (FFG 39); Operations Officer, USS RICHMOND K. TURNER (CG 20); Flag Secretary, Amphibious Force U.S. Seventh Fleet; Executive Officer, USS WORDEN (CG 18), Commanding Officer USS KINKAID (DD 965), Operations Officer, Cruiser Destroyer Group FIVE embarked in USS NIMITZ (CVN-68), and Operations Officer, U.S. THIRD Fleet. He has made deployments to the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black Seas, Western Pacific, Arabian Ocean, and Persian Gulf.
Captain Woolley's shore duty assignments include: Executive Assistant, Director of Logistics, Joint Chiefs of Staff; and, Assistant Commander Detailer, Surface Warfare Assignments Division, Bureau of Naval Personnel. He attended the Naval Postgraduate School and received a Masters in Systems Technology and the Naval War College where he graduated with Distinction, receiving a Masters degree in International and Strategic Studies. He was also a Fellow in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Foreign Politics, International Relations, and National Interest Program.
Captain Woolley's personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the legion of Merit three Meritorious Service Medals, three Navy Commendation Medals, and the Navy Achievement Medal.
