Six George and Katherine Pardee Scholars braved sub-zero temperatures and a blizzard to attend the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Management Institute in Denver, CO, January 3rd to January 6th at the Sheraton Hotel.  McKenna Wade, Abby Martin, Kelsey Nager, Regina Guttierez, Ele Brugger, and Will Tate joined over 500 students participating the national nonprofit credential program at the professional conference.  The conference theme was Innovate.  Students listened to keynote and plenary speakers; attended workshops; and spent one day working on real-time case studies for Denver nonprofit organizations.  Speakers included Dan Cardinali, President & CEO, Independent Sector; Joseph García, President, Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education; and Jordan Vernoy, CNP, Vice President, National Programs, Feeding America.  Students were accompanied by Teresa VanHorn, the Director of the Undergraduate Nonprofit Programs at USD.
