Study Tracks How iPads Impact Learning and Teaching in EUSD Classrooms

The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) commissioned the Mobile Technology Learning Center (MTLC) to conduct a study on how the use of mobile devices is affecting teaching and learning in the district. The recently released study was designed and conducted in the second year of the district’s one-to-one iPad initiative.

An article in The Coast News covered the study in a recent article: "Research found that iPads promoted 21st century skills like creative thinking, communication and problem solving for students in EUSD (Encinitas Union School District). But the study also found there was room for improvements. Notably, it recommended the district dedicate more resources to better train teachers in leading classrooms with iPads." (Full Story
