CEPAL Graduate Research Assistant Interns for Stanford's PACE

Andria Shook, a SOLES doctoral student and graduate assistant for the Center for Education Policy and Law (CEPAL) interned this summer with Stanford University's Policy Analysis for California Education's (PACE) research center. Andria provided research support for PACE’s continuing work on policy changes that the state of California needs to make to prepare for an increasingly digital future in the education system. She also provided research assistance for a series of policy briefs addressing issues related to Governor Brown’s proposal for the introduction of a weighted student funding system to finance California schools.

Policy Analysis for California Education is a non-partisan research center based at Stanford University, the University of California Berkeley, and the University of Southern California. PACE seeks to define and sustain a long-term strategy for comprehensive policy reform and continuous improvement in performance at all levels of California's education system, from early childhood to postsecondary education and training. To accomplish this goal, PACE bridges the gap between research and policy, working with scholars from California's leading universities and with state and local policy-makers to increase the impact of academic research on educational policy in California."
