On Sept. 16, the University of San Diego’s Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate will host Seek Ngee Huat, Ph.D., president of GIC Real Estate, the real estate investment arm of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC). Seek will speak as part of the distinguished lecture series, Breakfast at the BMC, which takes place 7:30 to 9 a.m. at USD’s  Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice.

As president of GIC Real Estate, Seek oversees one of the world’s Top 10 real estate investment funds and is considered one of the foremost experts in global capital markets. Headquartered in Singapore, GIC Real Estate’s global investments cover all sectors of direct property, private and public companies, real estate funds and debt instruments.

Before joining GIC, Seek was a senior partner with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), based in Sydney. He is presently on the advisory board of the real estate programs at the National University of Singapore, Harvard University and Cambridge University and is a member of the International Advisory Council, Guanghua School of Management at Peking University.
