The University of San Diego will host a panel on the need for comprehensive immigration reform on Thursday, Nov. 7.
Panelists include Congressman Scott Peters; former State Sen. Denise Ducheny; Sandra Wagner, adjunct law professor and immigration advisor to the USD Legal Clinics and Paola Carrasco, a USD DREAM student. Stephen Conroy, USD professor of economics will moderate the discussion.
The discussion is part of a campus “Day of Action” to share ideas, resources, and ask questions about immigration reform. As a Catholic university imbued with the values of Catholic Social Teaching, USD supports comprehensive immigration reform, including the DREAM Act, that will ensure fair and equal treatment of undocumented individuals in pursuit a full education and path to citizenship.
The panel discussion is for the USD community, not the general public, but media is welcome to cover the event.
