On Wednesday, June 16, 2010, the University of San Diego will host a symposium on Nonprofit Human Resources Management.

Key findings from the 2010 Nonprofit Employment Trends Survey will be presented and discussed. Some of these findings include the nonprofit job market appears to be stabilizing, nonprofits are doing more with less, and succession planning continues to be a problem for organizations.

Following the presentation and discussion, nonprofit human resource experts from San Diego and across the country will conduct seminars focused on such themes as “Recruiting and Maintaining a Diverse Workforce” to “Working Across Generations.”

Research for the study was conducted jointly by the Caster Family Center for Nonprofit Research and Nonprofit HR Solutions, a Washington, D.C., based human resource consulting group. This national survey of nonprofit employment practices provides insight from over 500 nonprofit organizations and is representative of nonprofit organizations across the sector by size, subsector, and location.
