TitleBurnham-Moores Center for Real Estate to Host 13th Annual Real Estate Conference at San Diego Marrio

On Wednesday, Feb. 18, the University of San Diego’s Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate will host the 13th Annual Real Estate Conference at the San Diego Marriott Hotel & Marina from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Richard K. Davis, CEO of U.S. Bancorp, will be the keynote speaker. The conference will also include panel discussions of locally and nationally recognized speakers, focusing on where the new sources of debt and equity capital can be found, when they will begin to flow again and the revised criteria and rules for the coming years.

Following the keynote address, David E. Blackford, CEO of California Bank & Trust; Michael J. DeMarco, managing director of Fortress Investment Group; Alan Billingsley, director and head of research of RREEF Alternative Investment, and Gayle Starr, senior vice president and director of capital markets of AMB Property Corporation, will take part in a panel discussion entitled: “Where is the Money Coming from? The National and International Perspective.”

In the second panel, Daniel J. Phelan, president and CEO of Pacific Southwest Realty Services; Paul Twardowski, vice president of Hines; Douglas P. Wilson, chairman and CEO of Douglas Wilson Companies, and Alex Zikakis, president of Capstone Advisors will conclude the conference by discussing local capital sources.
