Joel Day, visiting scholar at the Kroc IPJ and executive director of the City of San Diego’s Human Relations Commission and International Affairs Board, published his latest OpEd piece “America needs to combat the racist, neo-Nazi narrative,” in political newspaper and website The Hill.

Following the events and emotions of Charlottesville, Day argues that "It isn’t enough for American politicians to denounce homegrown domestic terrorism. Policymakers must use the FBI, Homeland Security, cities, businesses, and nonprofits with similar tools used to combat violent jihadist groups."
