Colman McCarthy Is Teaching Peace In America's Schools

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

KPBS -- Sometimes, when peace education is proposed, school districts can find it too controversial. My guest Colman McCarthy has been working for years to change that attitude. McCarthy is the director of the Center for Teaching Peace, an organization that works with schools to begin or to expand academic programs in peace education. He is also a former syndicated columnist for the Washington Post.

He'll be in San Diego this week to speak at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego. (Full Story)
