Liberal Arts Careers

Message

Four CAS alumni will meet with students on Friday, October 23, 2009 to discuss potential career opportunities with a liberal arts education.  The talk will focus on how the skills and experience gained from an education in the liberal arts prepared them for professional success in a variety of fields.



  • Bob O’Connell ‘82 - President of O’Connell International Arts, Inc. graduated from the College with a degree in English.  Today O’Connell works in international art recovery and restoration.

  • Todd Gloria ‘00 - Councilman for the City of San Diego received a double major in History and Political Science before entering local politics.  In 2008 he was elected to the City Council for San Diego.

  • Noreen Ippolito ‘90 - Director of Business Development for Clear Channel Communications will discuss her education in communication studies and how it prepared her for a career in media and music.

  • Harry Ryan ’92 – Co-owner and founder of Ryan Brothers Coffee received a BA in English before founding the successful coffee business with his brothers.
