Professor Michael Ramsey Speaks at Georgetown and Stanford
USD School of Law Professor Michael Ramsey presented his forthcoming article "The Constitution's Text and Customary International Law" at Georgetown Law School in November 2017. The presentation was part of a Georgetown Law Journal symposium and the paper will be published in the Georgetown Law Journal in 2018. Professor Ramsey spoke on a panel that also included Professors Amanda Tyler (Berkeley), Curtis Bradley (Duke) and Jack Goldsmith (Harvard). In addition to academic presentations, the symposium featured commentary from distinguished judges including U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and four federal court of appeals judges.
In January 2018 Professor Ramsey spoke to students at Stanford Law School. His talk was titled "The Constitution and Foreign Affairs in The Trump Administraction." Stanford Professor Allen Weiner gave commentary on the presentation.
About Professor Michael Ramsey
Professor Michael Ramsey teaches and writes in the areas of constitutional law, foreign relations law and international business law. Ramsey clerked for the Honorable J. Clifford Wallace of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for the Honorable Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court. He practiced international business law with the firm of Latham & Watkins. Ramsey taught as a visiting professor at the University of California, San Diego department of political science and at the University of Paris-Sorbonne department of comparative law. He joined the USD School of Law faculty in 1995.
