USD School of Law Alumna Vickie Turner '82 (JD) Recognized as a 'Women of Dedication' by Salvation Army

San Diego (November 29, 2017) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law alumna Vickie Turner, ’82 (JD), has been named a  2018 Women of Dedication recipient by the Salvation Army for her community service.  Turner, along with 12 other women, will be honored at a luncheon event, themed “Wonder Women,” on May 30, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis. 

Turner is a partner at Wilson Turner Kosmo LLP.  She has 35 years of experience in complex litigation matters filed against corporations, with extensive emphasis in the areas of product liability, class actions, general business litigation and warranty. Turner is involved in organizations such as Earl B. Gilliam Association, the San Diego Chapter of Links, Inc., the Lawyers Club of San Diego, Fund for Justice, Pathways 2 College, and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program. Turner is a USD School of Law Board of Visitors member and a member of the Leading Change-the Campaign for USD committee. She is also an adjunct professor at both USD School of Law and California Western School of Law.

Turner was also recognized as the Product Liability Defense Lawyer of the Year for 2018 by Best Lawyers.

Beginning in 1965 as a fundraiser for The Salvation Army, the program goal was to honor influential women in the community. Each spring, The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary hosts a luncheon where the Women of Dedication are thanked for their gifts of time, talent and spirit.
