USD School of Law Professor Michael Ramsey taught as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the Kuwait International Law School (KILAW) in Kuwait City, Kuwait, in November 2017. During his time in Kuwait he gave lectures on U.S. constitutional law (focusing on presidential power), investor-state arbitration, and international commercial law. He also gave a presentation to students interested in attending USD School of Law.

KILAW, the leading private law school in Kuwait, has a partnership agreement with USD School of Law, and USD School of Law Dean Stephen Ferruolo is a member of its Academic Advisory Board. KILAW Dean Mohammad Al-Moqatei is an LLM graduate of USD School of Law. 

About Professor Michael Ramsey

Professor Michael Ramsey teaches and writes in the areas of constitutional law, foreign relations law and international business law. Ramsey clerked for the Honorable J. Clifford Wallace of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for the Honorable Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court. He practiced international business law with the firm of Latham & Watkins. Ramsey taught as a visiting professor at the University of California, San Diego department of political science and at the University of Paris-Sorbonne department of comparative law. He joined the USD School of Law faculty in 1995.
