USD School of Law Student Audrey Olson '14 (JD) Awarded Honorable Mention in Sixth Annual Competition for Student Papers

San Diego  (May 13, 2014) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law third-year law student Audrey Olson, ’14 (JD), has been awarded an Honorable Mention for her submission to the Sixth Annual Competition for Student Papers hosted by the State Bar of California Criminal Law Section.

Olson's subimssion titled, "Brown v. Plata and the Expansion of Federal Equity Jurisdiction," was one of three submissions selected to recieve an honorable mention. She will recieve a cash prize, a one-year student membership in the Criminal Law Section, and her paper will be published in a upcoming Criminal Law Journal, published quarterly by the Criminal Law Section of the State Bar of California.

"I'm excited that my paper is going to be published," said Olson. "I can't wait to do a Westlaw search of my article and see it pop up amongst the work of so many intelligent and accomplished people. It's definitely a great way to finish law school."
