University Departments

University of San Diego departments and divisions schedule hundreds of events each year. Whether your group is scheduling a meeting, a conference or special event, the links below provide the information for making your event a success.

The Office of University Events and Promotions is a service-oriented unit that coordinates events locally, regionally and nationally for USD and its constituents. The team assists with the university’s highest profile events — such as special anniversaries, building dedications or capital campaigns — as well as various signature events, which are hosted either by the president, the Board of Trustees or the university as a whole. If your event is a high profile event, please contact the team at www.sandiego.edu/marketing/services-events. The team can guide you through the event planning process, including invitations, mailing list planning, budgeting, special services and catering.

Scheduling Checklists

Special events may include a multi-day conference or a single discussion session. Some require elaborate coordination, some are quite simple. This checklist is a starting point to help you define your needs.
Special Events

Many routine departmental meetings and class study sessions are scheduled each day at the university. Though less complicated than special events, meetings still necessitate advanced planning. This checklist highlights common needs and guidelines for scheduling.
