GenCyber Academy of Excellence Program (Beginner) Camp

In this one-week summer day camp, incoming 10-12th graders will participate in a number of hands-on-activities that will provide opportunities for them to learn and demonstrate their understanding of cyber security.  

Topics will include, but not limited to: 

Cyber Technologies

What is Cyber Security?

First Principles of Cyber and Applications 

Cyber Security Mechanisms 

Incident Management and Response 

Applied Cyber Operations and Ethics 

Application: Admission is through an application process, as space is limited.  Applications are due by May 1, 2018

Course Fee: There is no cost to participate.  In order to stimulate learning and future professionals in this field, the United States National Security Agency (NSA) has awarded funding to the University of San Diego to cover all costs for the program. 

Location: USD Campus at the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering: Loma Hall

Dates and Times - Two separate Academy of Excellence camps will be offered this summer:

Monday-Friday8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

June 25-29, 2018 

July 23-27, 2018
