Class Action Mastery Forum Coming to USD School of Law

SAN DIEGO (December 5, 2018) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law is excited to collaborate with HB Litigation Conferences, an independent nationwide provider of continuing legal education seminars and webinars specializing in emerging issues in law, and Western Alliance Bank, a specialist in banking for attorneys/law firms and settlement distribution agencies/claims administrators, on their very successful Class Action Mastery Forum, taking place at USD’s Kroc School from January 15-17, 2019.

HB has been producing this event for many years in San Juan, Orlando and New York, and we are pleased they’ve decided to bring it to San Diego in 2019! The chairs for this event are David S. Casey, Jr., a USD School of Law alumnus (’74), and Peter Stockburger, an adjunct professor at USD School of Law, teaching in the area of public international law and appellate advocacy, since 2009.

David Casey is managing partner of CaseyGerry LLP, and has received numerous professional awards, including more than 40 accolades from the Trial Bar Association and the “Outstanding Trial Lawyer” award from the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, formerly the San Diego Trial Lawyer Association. He also received a Peacemaker Award in 2002 from the San Diego Mediation Center for his work on behalf of victims of the World Trade Center terrorist attack.

Peter Stockberger is a senior managing associate in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, and has an active pro bono practice focused on immigration law. He’s been awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services from the State Bar of California in 2015, and the Pro Bono Publico Award from Casa Cornelia in 2016. In 2015 and 2016, he was dubbed a “Rising Star” by Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine. Peter is also being honored as a recipient of USD School of Law Rising Star Award at this year’s Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon being held on November 16, 2018 at the Holiday Inn Bayside, San Diego — a Bartell Hotels property.
