USD School of Law Alumna Courtney Bravo ’18 (JD) Wins Second Place in ABA Competition

San Diego (August 9, 2018) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law alumna, Courtney Bravo ’18 (JD), won second place in the American Bar Association (ABA) Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Student Writing Contest for her paper, “Stepfamilies and Intestacy Law: A Proposal for Stepparent and Stepchild Inheritance.”

She won a $1,500 prize and her paper may be selected for publication in the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal. The paper was developed for an Estate Planning Seminar with Professor Adam Hirsch and supported with a grant from USD School of Law. Bravo is a graduate of the USD School of Law and University of California, San Diego, with a degree in Literature and Writing.
