The Nonprofit Institute’s Advisory Board Member and MUFG Union Bank Foundation COO, Kathy Patoff, Wins Culture of Excellence Award

Many congratulations to The Nonprofit Institute’s Advisory Board Member and MUFG Union Bank Foundation COO, Kathy Patoff, for being recognized by her company with a coveted Culture of Excellence award!

MUFG Union Bank Foundation’s Culture of Excellence winners facilitated extraordinary results through exceptional efforts when it came to customer impact, collaboration, transformation, and continuous improvement, also demonstrating role-model behavior among their peers. Kathy was nominated by colleagues across all business lines and groups.

Kathy Patoff, along with colleague, Lynne Stoulil, designed and implemented the Employee Relief Fund. In late 2017, in the wake of multiple natural disasters, our employees wanted to pool their resources and support their colleagues in time of need. In partnership, Kathy and Lynne quickly responded to this need by researching past efforts, benchmarking other companies, designing a tier-structured program, and collaborating with multiple organizations to implement the Employee Relief Fund (ERF). Within a few weeks, the Employee Relief Fund was launched and funds were on their way to nearly 100 colleagues impacted by hurricanes.
