USD School of Law 3L Student Chosen as Runner-Up for the National LGBT Bar Student Leadership Award

USD School of Law 3L Student Ashley Fasano

San Diego (May 22, 2018) - The National LGBT Bar Association’s Student Leadership Award is the organization’s highest honor for law students. The award recognizes a law student who has demonstrated leadership within their school and in the surrounding community, especially in the area of LGBT equality. University of San Diego (USD) School of Law is proud to announce that this year’s Runner Up for the prestigious national award is alumna Ashley Fasano, '18 (JD).

“I am excited and honored to have been chosen as the runner-up for the National LGBT Bar Student Leadership Award!" said Fasano. "In my positions as president of Pride Law at USD and chairperson of the Name and Gender-Marker Change Clinic, I have strived to use the skills I learned in law school to provide support to the local trans* and non-binary communities and affect positive change at USD. I am eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to give back to the LGBTQ communities and incredibly appreciative of the immense support I have received from the students, professors, and administrators at USD Law to achieve this award.”

Please join USD Law in congratulating Ashley for her well-deserved national recognition.
