USD Certificate Program Boosts Businesses Online Marketing

Owners of small and medium-sized businesses can receive hands-on instruction todevelop a successful online marketing campaign through a certificate program offered by the University of San Diego this fall.

The affordable, eight-month program in Online Marketing Strategies focuses on the "how-to" of marketingtechniques, emphasizing implementation tactics, and return-on-investment (ROI) strategies.

The program begins with an online marketing boot camp and includes courses in integrated marketing, search engine optimization, social media and Web analytics. During a capstone course, participantswill develop a working Internet marketing plan that can be put to use immediately for their businessesdevelopment.

“Since we started this program last fall, the response from small and medium-sized business owners has beenvery strong,” said Jason Lemon, USD Dean of Professional and Continuing Education. “Participantshave praised the program for the in-depth, practical information it provides and many have seen immediate benefits including dramatic growth in their social media interaction with customers.” To see a student testimonial, go to http://youtu.be/bbkUvzlvHkU.
