USD Wine Classic Raises More than $50,000 for Student Scholarships
Attendees Sip, Savor and Support Deserving Students

The University of San Diego’s fourth annual Wine Classic on July 22 raised over $50,000 for student scholarships. Including this year’s proceeds, the Wine Classic has contributed more than $150,000 to USD’s Alumni Endowed Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to deserving USD students, nearly 70 percent of whom receive some form of financial aid.

More than 650 people attended the sold-out event. Held behind USD’s Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, with views overlooking the San Diego and Mission bays, the event featured 32 USD-affiliated wineries, gourmet food stations, live music and a silent auction. Wineries across California from the Napa and Sonoma valleys to San Diego and Mexico took part.

Top sponsors for this year’s Wine Classic included Bartell Hotels and “101 Things to Do San Diego.”
