USD Students Win Catholic Video Contest

A video created by a group of University of San Diego students was chosen as a winning entry in a national contest hosted by the Association for Student Affairs at Catholic Colleges and Universities (ASACCU) on March 2.

The video theme was for students to showcase what a Catholic education means to students across the university. The ASACCU contest was open to all students who attend a Catholic college or university.

The USD students who teamed to create the video are Lena Figueroa, Kevin Karn, Jaz Tinsley and Alec Hartman. The winning entry earned each person a $150 gift card and USD a free registration for the July 2016 ASACCU Conference taking place at St. Norbert's College in Wisconsin.

The purpose of ASACCU is to promote an understanding of the rich Catholic Intellectual Tradition and its relevance for student affairs professionals who are working or will be working at Catholic colleges and universities.

USD joined Siena, Holy Cross (Indiana) and St. Mary's (Indiana) students with winning entries. A video montage will be shown at the ASACCU conference.
