David Shirk Receives International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Grant

David Shirk, PhD, Political Science and International Relations, and Director, Justice in Mexico Project, is the recipient of a one-year, Department of State, International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) grant of $1,139,858 for his proposal entitled “Oral Adversarial Skill-Building Immersion Seminar (OASIS).” The primary purpose of this grant is to support the goals of the INL Rule of Law Program in Mexico, but in particular, Mexico’s transition to and implementation of an oral, adversarial, and accusatory criminal justice system.
