Susan Bonnell Receives Registered Nurse Education Capitation Funding Award

Susan Bonnell, PhD, School of Nursing and Health Science, received a Registered Nurse Education Capitation funding award for $216,000 from the State of California, Song-Brown Health Care Workforce Training Program for the 2014-2015 academic year. It will be used by students who will serve as primary care nurse practitioners and provide needed services in areas of unmet need within the state. She also received $100,000 from the Song-Brown Registered Nurse Education Special Program that will be used for partial salary support for clinical faculty members educating students in quality care and outcomes, participating in the Masters Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN).
