University of California, Santa Barbara: Master of Arts in Global & International Studies (MAGIS)

The University of California, Santa Barbara offers a two-year, interdisciplinary Master of Arts in Global & International Studies (MAGIS). This cutting-edge graduate program is especially well suited for students interested in global issues, an interdisciplinary approach to academic research and analysis, and an opportunity to gain hands-on experiences through internship and/or study abroad. We provide fellowship support of up to $20,000 to incoming students on a competitive basis.

The M.A. offers three areas of specialization:
1) global culture, ideology, and religion;
2) global governance and human rights;
3) political economy, sustainable development and the environment.
