Judith Liu's Recent Publishing and Presentations
Judith Liu, PhD, Professor of Sociology, along with Emalyn Leppard and Chris Nayve, are the authors of “Nothing about Us without Us is for Us: Civic Engagement through Consensus and Commitment.” It was featured as the lead article in the Journal for Civic Commitment 19 (November 2012): 1-20.
In the Spring 2013 New Worlds and New Ideas Ethnic Studies Lecture Series at University of San Diego, Judith Liu presented on her book, Foreign Exchange: Counterculture behind the Walls of St. Hilda’s School for Girls, 1929-1937 (Bethlehem: Lehigh University Press, distributed by Rowman & Littlefield, New York, 2011) on Thursday, February 28, 2013.
As the 2010 recipient of the Dean Dorn Distinguished Contribution to Teaching Award, Judith Liu was one of the invited speakers at the Presidential Session: Best Practices or What I Have Learned About Teaching Sociology, at the 84th Annual Meeting of the Pacific Sociological Association in Reno, NV, March 23, 2013.
