USD School of Law Names 2012 Distinguished Alumni and Rising Star

San Diego (December 9, 2012) - On Friday, November 16, USD School of Law held the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Awards luncheon at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter to honor alumni, the Honorable Robert J. Trentacosta, '79, presiding judge, San Diego Superior Court  and A. John Murphy Jr., '72 (BA), '75 (JD), managing partner at Wickersham & Murphy, in Palo Alto, Calif. 

The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to law school alumni who have distinguished themselves in the legal field, or other chosen profession, at an exemplary level, and who embody the high ethical standards and commitment to community service USD School of Law seeks to instill in its graduates.

USD School of Law is also pleased to present the Rising Star Recent Alumni Award for a second year. This year’s honoree is Laurie G. Rowen, ’04, co-founder/owner, Montage Legal Group (center). The Rising Star Recent Alumni Award is presented to alumni who have graduated within the past ten years and have made significant achievements in the legal profession, or chosen field, and demonstrated a high level of community involvement.

Nominations for the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award and the Rising Star Recent Alumni Award are being accepted through March 8, 2013. The 2013 Distinguished Alumni Awards luncheon will be held on Friday, November 8, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
