Castillo De Los Tres Reyes Del Morro

This summer, Dr. Chris Warren transformed his EchoThief research into an immersive augmented reality installation for the Summer of Innovation exhibit at NAMM’s Museum of Making Music. EchoThief is a new technology which can capture and replicate the reverberation of any space.  Visitors enter a sonic world which quickly transforms from caverns to castles to cathedrals, making sounds appear to exist within these unique spaces from around North America.  Included in this sonic journey are the awe-inspiring echoes of our own Immaculata.

This fall semester, Dr. Warren will be teaching a course devoted to the creation of responsive sonic work, Music 421: Interactive Digital Music and Arts.  Dr. Warren’s sonic installations will be on display later this semester at the Fleet Science Center and San Diego City College.
