U-T San Diego -- Todd Gloria is a self-described neat freak. He obsessively cleans things. So when he sees a pothole — a blemish — in his City Council district, he makes it his personal responsibility to get it fixed.
Now that Gloria has ascended to president of the San Diego City Council, he’s taking that need for cleanliness to a new level.
His first act was to boldly call for a ballot measure in 2014 or 2016 that could involve a tax increase to address the city’s nearly $900 million infrastructure backlog and bring what he’s playfully coined as “sexy streets” to every San Diego neighborhood. (Full Article)
