Ethnic Studies Welcomes AIR Sr. Students to Spring 2012 Semester!

Students in Dr. Jacob's Spring 2012 ETHN 332/SOC 494 class are serving as mentors for local American Indian youth in the AIR Sr. program. USD students are teaching enrichment workshops to demystify higher education (topics covered include: financial aid, choosing a major, time management) and are conducting a research project with AIR students on the topic of Diabetes in Native American communities. This partnership is supported by the Department of Ethnic Studies and The Center for Community Service Learning.
