Associate Professor of Theology and Religious Studies shares her experience as a professor of Islam

San Diego Union Tribune -- Bahar Davary, an Iranian-American professor of Islam at the University of San Diego, said she feels burdened by the lack of basic awareness about the religion. That makes her teaching job challenging — just as popular interest in the subject continues to bloom.

“Anything you say that is valuable about Islamic civilization will be seen as romanticizing or be viewed as siding with the enemy,” Davary said. (Full Story)
