Kimberly Eherenman Appointed Associate Provost

Kimberly Eherenman, PhD, will become associate provost of International Affairs and director of the International Center effective September 1, 2010.
Professor Eherenman has taught Spanish language, literature and culture courses since 1990, and is the current director of both the Spanish program and the 2010-11 Second Year Experience program in Barcelona, Spain. Her former service to the college and department includes directing the Hispanic/Latino Studies and the Guadalajara Summer Program and chairing this department and the college's ARRT Committee.
Eherenman is a past member of the original Faculty Committee for Study Abroad (and remains on its new incarnation as International Studies Abroad committee). She participated in international faculty development experiences in numerous locations, including Colombia, Peru and Nicaragua.
Eherenman was appointed a 2009-10 University Professorship Award in recognition of her outstanding teaching, scholarship and service.
Eherenman will bring her considerable experience and perspective to bear to benefit both students and faculty interested in studying, teaching or pursuing research outside the United States.
The department congratulates her on this well-deserved promotion.
