Sam Nogami ('10) Awarded 2009 Nationa Undergraduate Fellowship Program

The Department of Physics announces that physics major Sam Nogami ’10 has been awarded an appointment in the 2009 National Undergraduate Fellowship Program in Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy Sciences. This program provides outstanding undergraduates with an opportunity to conduct research in the disciplines that comprise the plasma sciences in general and fusion research in particular. Nogami will spend a week at Princeton for a crash-course in plasma physics, followed by eight to nine weeks of research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
