Languages and Literatures Hosts Knapp Chair for College of Arts and Sciences

Albert Blanco, internationally recognized poet and artist, has been appointed to the Knapp Chair, an award that rotates among the College of Arts and Sciences departments to bring distinguished visiting scholars to campus.

Blanco will teach two courses: Spanish 451: Latin American Poetry and Spanish 494, a special topics course on Octavio Paz. In addition, he will conduct seminars for Spanish students and and deliver a public presentation.
